Colombian nun Gloria Cecilia Narváez kidnapped by Al Qaeda released

Gloria Cecilia Narváez, a Colombian nun who was kidnapped on February 7, 2017 by Al Qaeda in Mali, Africa, where she was carrying out humanitarian and evangelization work, was released this Saturday, October 9.

“The Presidency of Mali salutes the courage and bravery of the nun. This release is the culminating achievement of four years and eight months of combined efforts by various intelligence services, ”the presidency said in a statement.
