World Hearing Day was established at the initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 3 of each year, in order to raise public awareness on prevention issues for hearing protection.
The date, in fact, was chosen because the shape of the numbers 3.3 resembles two human ears!
With the message “To hear for a lifetime, listen carefully”, this year’s World Hearing Day focuses on the importance of safe hearing as a means of maintaining good hearing throughout a person’s life .
