Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a time when the Russian invasion of Ukraine is in full swing for the tenth day.
The conversation took place after the meeting he held in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to what was learned from Israeli sources.
Zelensky had asked Bennett to mediate the crisis. Bennett secretly traveled to Moscow today and had a conversation that lasted more than two and a half hours with Putin, before leaving for Berlin.
The Israeli prime minister had spoken by phone with Putin last Wednesday. For his surprise visit to Moscow today, the Kremlin only announced that the two leaders were “discussing the situation in Ukraine.”

The Israeli Prime Minister is currently traveling to Berlin to meet with Foreign Minister Olaf Solz.
