Intel ridiculed Apple laptops in a series of commercials comparing MacBooks and PCs

Intel has produced a series of short commercials that poke fun at the features of MacBook laptops. For these purposes, the manufacturer hired actor Justin Long. Ironically, Long featured Macs in Apple's Mac vs. PC ”in the 2000s, which jokingly explained the advantages of Macs over regular Windows-based PCs.

This time, Justin Long appears to the viewer as an ordinary person who compares the capabilities of laptops based on Intel processors and MacBook laptops based on Apple M1 chips. In the first clip, Long wonders at the ability to connect three additional monitors to an Intel laptop and just one display to a Mac laptop.

In the second video, the actor highlights the touchscreen of an ASUS on an Intel laptop, as well as a large additional touchscreen above the keyboard, and gets confused in working with a compact MacBook touch bar.

In the third video, Justin is pleased with the variety of shapes and exterior colors of Intel-based laptops, noting that the gray MacBook has become even grayer.

The fourth video deals with the topic of games. Justin sees another person playing on an Intel laptop and asks the camera if they have a gamer on a MacBook. To this, the Intel laptop player replies that no one is playing on the Mac.

The last clip reveals the topic of the multifunctionality of laptops based on Intel processors, which are also available in 2-in-1 form factors, allowing you to turn a laptop into a tablet and vice versa. The ad notes that in order to achieve the capabilities offered by Intel-based laptops, in the case of Apple, you have to buy a separate tablet, keyboard, stylus and even an adapter with different interfaces.

Last November, Apple ran an ad featuring John Hodgman, the actor who played the PC in its Mac vs. PC ". In it, he talked about the advantages of the MacBook on ARM processor M1. The video, in particular, indicated that Apple's laptop lasts longer without recharging.
